The company was incorporated in 2015 but has been sole proprietor since 1997. The company provides, advisory services, alternative dispute resolution processes or training programs to suit clients’ needs as we believe that each one is unique. Mediate Works offers a wide range of services such as divorce mediation, commercial mediation labour mediation, chairing of disciplinary hearings and relationship by objective (RBO) processes, wage negotiations, facilitation and training. Essentially, we are “Relationship Experts”. We provide a team of multidisciplinary experts to assist our clients in their business, labour and family relationships. Mediate Works offers its services through multidisciplinary teams of professionals which span areas of law, organisational development, labour relations, skills development, psychology, academia, dispute resolution, finance, religion, community and the public sector.
Our founder, Ebrahim Patelia, who has 20 years of experience as an attorney, mediator, arbitrator, trainer, lecturer and academic; provides the leadership for Mediate Works. His experience brings together a unique combination of legal and academic knowledge, practical dispute resolution, training skills, transformation development, and policy design.
Mediate Works is an accredited level 1 B-BBEE status with 100% black ownership and places a strong emphasis on transformation and development. We are also a Services SETA accredited training provider.

Ebrahim is an CEDR accredited mediator, trainer, academic and attorney. He has over 20 years of experience in dispute resolution and labour law. He is the CEO and founder of Mediate Works and visiting lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand.
