South Africa Under Lockdown
On 23 March 2020, the President announced that South Africa was on the brink of a lockdown. Special interventions have been introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and rescue the economy.
Temporary Employer/Employee Relief Scheme
Government have created a special benefit under the Unemployment Insurance Fund as per the Directive Covid -19 Temporary Employee / Employer Relief Scheme.
Register As An Essential Service
The President of South Africa has declared a National Lockdown from 26 March 2020 until 16 April 2020. During that period only businesses that provide essential services are allowed to open and trade. Those businesses need to apply to for a certificate in order to trade.
